Summer is a time of renewal, making it the perfect season to refresh your body and mind with yoga. As nature awakens, so can your energy, flexibility, and sense of balance.

These yoga poses will help you shake off winter and spring stiffness, boost circulation, and welcome the new season feeling strong, open, and revitalized.

1. Sun Salutations

Nothing symbolizes the start of thesummer season like the warmth of the sun, as such the Yoga Llama team wants to introduce Sun Salutations into your routine.

Begin in Mountain Pose and raise your arms overhead. Breathe in and fold forward, before stepping down into a plank. Lower your body to the floor, and then push forward until your chin and chest are in the air. Flow back into lifting your hips up until your body forms an upside-down V-pose before returning to standing.

Repeat 3–5 times to energize your day.

2. Tree Pose

Summer is a time of growth, and Tree Pose reflects that beautifully. Stand tall, place one foot against the opposite inner thigh or calf (avoiding the knee), and bring your palms together at your heart. This pose builds strength while fostering a sense of renewal and grounding. Hold your core tight.

Hold for 30 seconds on each side, focusing on balance and stability.

3. Chair Pose

Chair Pose is powerful because it helps ground you, makes you focus on your breathing, and pushes the development of your thighs and glutes. Spread your legs so that they’re parallel to your shoulders. Raise your arms above your head, bend your knees, lean your torso forward slightly, and keep your heels on the ground.

Hold the pose for 30-60 seconds to engage your core and lower body muscles.

These poses will help you embrace summer’s energy, leaving you feeling refreshed, balanced, and ready for new possibilities! Get the blood flowing and visualize a season in which you feel empowered and joyful.
