3 interesting poses for beginners.
Building core strength is essential for stability, balance, and overall fitness. Yoga offers a variety of beginner-friendly poses that engage your core muscles while promoting flexibility and mindfulness.
Here are five easy yoga exercises to help you develop core power from the comfort of your home:
1.Seated Low Lunge Variation
This is a pose that makes the core burn. It requires patience and concentration on deep breathing. Sit at the edge of your chair, put your hands together and raise them over your head. Lift your left leg as high up as possible while keeping the knee bent at a 90-degree angle.
Keep your back straight and hold for 10 to 20 seconds before switching legs.
2. Half-Squat Pose
With a focus on stability, this pose will require slow movements to execute. Stand on a flat surface and open your legs wider than your hips. Bring your palms together in front of your chest and squat down until place your hands on the ground. Use your hands as support as you put all of your weight on the left side of your body and stretch your right leg out to the side.
Bring your palms together in a prayer pose again and hold for 10 to 20 seconds before switching sides.
3. Tree Pose
Reaching for the sky while holding your balance, Tree Pose is complex to maintain but works the whole body. Shift your weight onto one leg and carefully place the other foot on the inner side of your thigh. Bring your palms together in front of your chest before extending them up toward the ceiling.
By practicing these poses regularly, you’ll build a strong, stable core while enhancing your overall yoga practice. When you progress, you can integrate bends into your tree pose in order to challenge yourself.
